AVERAGE OF THE 13 OXYTOCIN CLUSTERS

All profiles (type, functional, trait), except those specifically stipulated and the first type profile (normalized to a zero intertype mean and a unit intertype sigma), are presented as averaged EMPIRICAL LINEAR CORRELATIONS of the corresponding socionic indicators with the property under consideration.

The final socionic profile of oxytocin (which we show in this post) was obtained by averaging 13 properties that are markers of oxytocin action, namely:

Cluster OXT-01. Likes touching, hugging, tactile contact, readily allows intrusions into personal space, and willingly intrudes into others’ personal space for the purpose of drawing closer and merging personal spaces

Cluster OXT-02. Likes slow touches and stroking the hairs on their skin

Cluster OXT-03. Trustfulness toward other people

Cluster OXT-04. Suggestibility

Cluster OXT-05. Openness about one’s experiences and feelings

Cluster OXT-06. Rapidly growing feeling of attachment

Cluster OXT-07. Friendliness, caring, responsiveness

Cluster OXT-08. Erogenous zone of the nipples

Cluster OXT-09. Love of children

Cluster OXT-10. Need to feel unity with people

Cluster OXT-11. Often consults others

Cluster OXT-12. Gaze into the eyes or eye area of another person

Cluster OXT-13. Enhanced social memory. Observant memory for people’s faces and voices

----------—

These 13 clusters themselves were identified by us on the basis of an analysis of literature data on the study of behavioral manifestations associated with increases or decreases in oxytocin in the human body (experiments involving the study both of native oxytocin concentrations in the body and of artificially increased concentrations).

The corresponding DOC file containing a detailed literature review on this topic is attached to this post.

We will begin from the end – that is, before going through all these 13 oxytocin clusters, we will first immediately show the final result (something that had never previously been done on our group’s wall)– the socionic profile of elevated oxytocin, obtained by averaging the profiles of all these clusters (see the attached image with the profiles)

We will consider the individual clusters in subsequent posts.

It can be seen from the image that OXYTOCIN leads to increases in ethics, judiciousness, sensing, and declatimity. Fe, Si, and De increase first and foremost, whereas the Ni and Ti functions – decrease substantially.

The corresponding effects of increased oxytocin concentration are, in general, universal in both men and women.

----------—

By the way, did you know that oxytocin has a multiphasic action – a one-time increase in its concentration in a number of cases triggers the mechanism of its natural release (in the appropriate situations programmed by nature) subsequently as well?

In particular, during normal vaginal childbirth there is a sharp release of oxytocin into the blood and into the cerebrospinal fluid (that is, into the CNS). And only because of this, oxytocin is also released subsequently, after contact between the mother’s skin and the child’s skin after birth (when the child is held against the breast). In the absence of oxytocin release during childbirth, as, for example, after a planned cesarean section, oxytocin will not be released subsequently either, both during skin-to-skin contact and during breastfeeding in the postpartum period ( Velandia et al., 2012 ). And this leads to such mothers not developing a full-fledged attachment to the child. However, this effect is fully restored in mothers who gave birth by cesarean section if, immediately after delivery by cesarean section, they received infusions of exogenous oxytocin (by spraying an oxytocin solution into the nose or by another method).

Who knows – do Russian clinics give women in labor, immediately after a cesarean section, the oxytocin that is absolutely necessary for them in such cases?
