Base and Creative Di
Base Di
In theory, it is characteristic of LSI and EII. It combines the properties of declatimity, aristocratism, positivism (inert declatimity), process, and a balanced-stable temperament.
A fatalist who does exactly what a person in their place is supposed to do. Does not ask unnecessary questions, does not criticize authority, and does not complain about their fate. In critical situations, more than others, they are willing to endure hardships and deprivations without complaint and even sacrifice themselves - seeing it as their duty and obligation. All social structures that require subordination and the fulfilment of unpleasant duties, which are nevertheless necessary to maintain the stability of society, are based on program Di. This includes, first and foremost, the police, the penitentiary system, schools for “troubled youth”, hospices, and institutions for permanently incapacitated individuals. However, the state as a whole also primarily attracts Di subjects - being the most prone to subordination and unquestioning execution of orders. Problems with base Di arise when its representatives gain unjustifiably high power and the right to speak on behalf of the majority. In such cases, a regime of unfreedom, initially created for special situations, begins a creeping expansion into society as a whole, gradually depriving people of rights and opportunities - above all, the ability to distance themselves from the majority. Thus, when valuing Ti, people with strong inert Di tend to support the existence of a bureaucratic golem, where almost everything not explicitly permitted by central authority becomes prohibited. When valuing Fi, they often find their place in traditional religious movements with their preaching of humility, repentance, and deliberate uncritical thinking—ultimately reaching the extreme of “I believe because it is absurd”. In combination with valued Se, base Di restructures its environment into something akin to a prison, taking on the role of a warden who monitors every step of those around them and prevents physical distancing. The combination with valued Ne gives rise to the phenomenon of political correctness—where control extends into the realm of meaning itself, and through subtle instillation of certain ideas, an ideological consensus is gradually formed, one most convenient for maintaining the existing social order. What is the main reason for such behavior in individuals with strong inert Di? They are characterized by slow, viscous thinking that does not easily adapt. This leads to a negative attitude toward cunning alternatives and rule-breaking “upstarts”. Unable to keep up with overly fast external thought processes, Di seeks to isolate itself from them, and in combination with strong Se, it also seeks to restrict the source of such thoughts from freely improvising. This creates some resemblance between base Di and painful Ne. Indeed, the average LSI is much more “white declatim” than the average EII. Also, it is interesting to note that Di has a much less developed static component of semantic content than Qi. In fact, this function is almost inverted into dynamics (at least based on the observed properties). The likely reason is that a Qi subject always seeks to act autonomously from others, whereas Di is heavily tied to subordination and, therefore, depends on its environment. Any dependence and synchronization with the surrounding world are dynamic qualities, unlike discrete independence, which is static by nature.

Creative Di
In theory, it is characteristic of SLE and IEE. It combines the properties of declatimity, aristocracy, negativism (contact declatimity), result, and a flexible-agile temperament.
At the individual level, it manifests as high stress resistance in situations of social interaction, as well as the ability to deftly use the “crowd” of the surrounding social space in order to obtain necessary life resources, desired relationships and experiences.
Such people do not particularly worry about the future - apparently because they believe that in case of trouble, their connections and social communication skills will help them, that “society will carry them through”, while the losses will be borne by others - those who failed to join in time or did not grasp the informal rules and language of this society. In general, specialists in this function are masters of instinctive group behavior that defies rationalization.
At the social level, creative Di is the function through which society entices its members, seducing them to involve them in institutions of mutual responsibility. “Look at us, do as we do”; “if you can’t—we’ll teach you, if you don’t want to—we’ll force you”- these are its slogans.
It operates through deception and chatter, in the case of IEE also through joking, in the case of SLE—through intimidation. At the same time, unlike hired propagandists from the Gamma quadra, such people act not so much for money as at the call of their souls, because they still feel a sense of belonging to the system being created—both as declatims and as aristocrats.
