Base and Creative Ti

Base Ti (Balanced-Stable “Ascending” Logic, BS-L) – ORDER

Semantics of BS-L: classification, sorting, mapping, compiling catalogs and databases, and maintaining them. It also involves reconciling contradictions and paradigmatic thinking (ruthless towards illogicality, yet largely blind to alternative worldviews). This function creates a global conceptual-legislative “skeleton” (science and state), onto which all other institutions are later attached. Through this structure, society resists global threats to its existence.

Physical meaning: maintaining long-range order of connections in a system, ensuring that it doesn’t “fall apart” under external influence but instead retains the form and integrity of its boundaries, thus preserving the homeostatic constancy of its internal environment.

BS-L is characterized by seeing the typical rather than the unique in the surrounding world, reducing the unpredictable diversity to a smaller, more predictable set of typical elements. This enhances the quality of the BS-L subject’s thinking, freeing them from many common perception errors and making them largely immune to viral memes.
However, the downside of this approach is the difficulty of stepping outside the established conceptual system, which consumes most of their time for its development and maintenance. It also makes it challenging to find common ground with people who operate under different systems.

Among logical functions, BS-L is distinguished by its principled refusal to achieve a specific goal if it involves violating predefined rules and laws. This means that a BS-L subject does not always choose the most efficient short-term solution, arguing that in the long term, it may lead to greater destruction of order, the maintenance of which is their primary goal.

Dual function – Base Fe, LA-E:

The duality in this pair is ensured by the fact that BS-L provides the Fe partner with a coherent and internally consistent worldview, association with which enhances their standing in the eyes of others. Meanwhile, LA-E draws public attention to the logical structures of the Ti partner, thereby expanding the number of followers of their ideology. Thus, BS-L and LA-E are united by a desire to create a universal language of common principles, and both partners work on developing and implementing this in reality, each in their own area of expertise.

Te is no less characterized by thorough material processing than Ti, especially when it comes to the introverted forms of these functions. The difference is that Te has a highly specialized view of things, while Ti takes a broad, expansive perspective. In other words, Te perfects specific algorithms for extracting utility, while Ti refines systems of rules that provide a holistic understanding of the conceptual space and control over it.

Creative Ti (Flexible-Agile “Ascending” Logic, FA-L) – EXPERIMENTS

Semantics of FA-L: experimental setups and technologies, breakthroughs into the unknown, pioneering, management in a situation of crisis and destruction of the usual order of things, irregular exploration on the forefront of civilization, where no established rules exist yet`, rebellion against outdated and simulacra traditions, emancipation—cutting ties to gain new experiences (the courage to “cut through the living”), the liberation of personal potential, the purification of thinking from cultural rituals, “rules of decency” and morality to uncover the essence of what’s happening and ensure survival.

Physical meaning: breaking close connections to release the global potential bound within them.

SLE’s are inclined toward more brutal experiments, involving physical violence and coercion (any war, the accompanying arms race, and sometimes experiments on prisoners of war that would otherwise be prohibited due to their clear inhumanity). ILE’s, on the other hand, are more interested in the intellectual aspect, seeking something fundamentally new through the play of imagination. Both approaches drive science and progress, expanding the body of knowledge about the world around us. This shared pursuit, stripped of the influence of both Se and Ne, forms the essence of creative Ti.

Antagonist function – Programmatic Fi:

From Fi’s perspective, FA-L’s actions are often interpreted as manifestations of antisocial psychopathy.

Among logical functions, FA-L is unique in its tendency towards reckless risk-taking, meaning logical sobriety and balance are foreign to it. The reason for this is that the goals FA-L sets for itself are distant and unattainable within existing systems. To achieve them, revolutionary shifts in society and the destruction of familiar traditions are required.

Dual function – Creative Fe, RA-E:

The duality between RA-E and FA-L is ensured by the fact that RA-E, alone among all ethical functions, does not burden its partner with moral teachings (which FA-L deeply despises) and does not infringe on their freedom of will. Likewise, FA-L, alone among all logical functions, is unconcerned with the fact that the partner’s actions do not bring immediate benefits—FA-L operates by different criteria of value, unrelated to the ability to withstand routine. What unites FA-L and RA-E is their drive for the unusual, the revolutionary in their fields: RA-E is drawn to these situations for the powerful new experiences they bring, while FA-L is drawn to the opportunity to create reality “from a blank slate.”
