Relations of quasi-identity and extinguishment are equally unpopular among both romantic couples and pairs of friends.

Among romantic couples, duality is significantly more frequent as the dominant relation, followed by activation and mirage.

However, in same-sex pairs of friends, identity relations clearly predominate, followed at a considerable distance by mirage and super-ego relations.

Proximity to each ITR type (across all 16 possible variants) was calculated numerically as the scalar product of three ordered numerical sets – the set of trait values of the 1st member of the pair, the set of trait values of the 2nd member of the pair, and the vector of matches-mismatches of trait signs for the given ITR type (see the second table presented).
