Correlations of Socionic and Style-Related Questionnaire Indicators Between Members of Pairs
(experimental study results, 2019-2021)
We will examine the statistics of relationship types within pairs tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, but for now – we present the statistics based on trait correlations between members of pairs, which thereby provide an indication of which socionic traits are genuinely complementary and which are value-based – that is, which tend toward matching poles between members of pairs.
Strongly value-based traits prove to be merriness, judiciousness, and democratism.
Moderately value-based traits prove to be rationality/irrationality and Questimity (yes, Questimity!).
Extraversion, logic, and intuition act as complementary traits, and this works both in romantic and even in friendship pairs (although it works noticeably more strongly in romantic pairs).
Statics functions as a weakly complementary trait - but only in romantic pairs.
All other socionic traits are rather indifferent to the comfort of pair relationships, although, at the level of a tendency, they also lean more toward the role of value-based traits (that is, matching poles turns out to be slightly more advantageous than their complementarity).

We do not undertake to interpret the results for blood-related same-sex pairs (sisters, brothers, mother-daughter, father-son). There are too few pairs, and the influence of various kinds of artifacts on their formation may be large.
NOTE: Correlations for opposite-sex pairs were calculated in ordered pairs (between the male and female halves of the pairs). For same-sex pairs, correlations were calculated in unordered pairs - for this purpose, the number of pairs was doubled by adding to them those in which the ordinal numbers of the pair members were inverted (thus, for same-sex pairs the correlations were calculated not for the doubled number of pairs - for same-sex romantic pairs not over 90 points, but over 180, for same-sex friendship pairs - over 520 points, for blood-related pairs - over 140 points.)
