TestMyBrain Choice Reaction Time
Determine your choice reaction time
Choice reaction time adds a decision to a simple reaction: before responding, you have to work out which response is required. The time this takes reflects how quickly you can process information and select an action.
In this TestMyBrain test, three coloured squares with arrows appear, and you report the direction of the arrow in the square whose colour differs from the other two. Put simply, it measures how fast you can see what matters and respond to it correctly.
On the following pages, you can determine your choice reaction time by completing a short task. It has to be completed in one sitting.
The results will be provided immediately after you have completed the final trial. Please note that the results you receive can only be reliable to the extent that you work attentively and without help.
This test is part of the validation study for the Quantitative Socionics Inventory. In case of any question, please write an e-mail (contact@quantitativesocionics.org) to the research team.
About this test
- Procedure
- Three coloured squares with arrows appear; report the direction of the arrow in the square whose colour differs from the other two, as quickly as possible (keys “x” and “m”, or buttons).
- Main outcome
- Median reaction time on correct trials (ms).
- Also reported
- Accuracy · Mean RT, correct (ms) · SD of RT, correct (ms) · TestMyBrain score
- Input
- Keyboard or touch screen; touch devices are offered a choice at the start.
- Study
- Your answers are stored anonymously under the same private profile as the Quantitative Socionics Inventory, so that results can be compared across participants.
