Consent

First, we need you to read the following information attentively and to confirm your consent. Data protection law and research ethics require your consent in order to participate.

  • I am at least 18 years of age.
  • I confirm that I would like to voluntarily participate in this study.
  • I understand that the study will take an estimated time of approximately 20 minutes and has to be completed in one sitting.
  • I understand that I will first be asked for my year of birth, gender, and country, which are required, and optionally about my English, education, occupation, and socionic type.
  • As compensation, I will receive feedback: the proportion of trials I answered correctly, overall and in each of the five tasks. I understand that this feedback is a research estimate, not a clinical assessment, and I agree that there will be no other form of compensation.
  • I understand that there is no deception involved in this study: I will not be deceived purposefully, I will not receive incorrect or false feedback, and I will not be held in belief of false pretences.
  • All data will be collected and saved anonymously, including my responses, their timing, and meta-data about my device (type, browser, screen size, time zone, and language). My name, email address, IP address, and location are not recorded, so the researchers cannot link my data or responses to my personal identity.
  • My responses to the Quantitative Socionics Inventory and to the validation tests on this site are saved under the same random identifier, so that they can be compared. If I do not have a profile yet, I will receive a private recovery link to resume and view my results, which cannot be replaced if I lose it.
  • The anonymized data will be used exclusively for research purposes and will never be sold. Research purposes may include the usage in academic publications and the sharing of the anonymized data with other researchers.
  • I understand that I am free to discontinue participation at any time during the study without providing a reason. I understand that if I withdraw from the study, I will not receive any feedback. I can have my data deleted by writing to contact@quantitativesocionics.org with the address of my result page.
