Systemizing Quotient-Revised (SQ-R)
Determine your systemizing
Systemizing is the drive to analyse and build systems — anything that follows rules, from machines and mathematics to grammar, music, or a library catalogue. According to Simon Baron-Cohen’s empathizing–systemizing theory, people differ in how strong this drive is compared with their drive to empathize.
The Systemizing Quotient-Revised (Wheelwright et al., 2006) measures this drive with 75 statements about interests and everyday habits. Put simply, it shows how much you are drawn to understanding how things work and which rules they follow.
On the following pages, you can determine your systemizing by responding to 75 statements. This will take about 5–10 minutes, and you can pause and resume at any time.
The results will be provided immediately after you have responded to all statements on the final page. Please note that the results you receive can only be reliable to the extent that you respond seriously and honestly.
This questionnaire is part of the validation study for the Quantitative Socionics Inventory. In case of any question, please write an e-mail (contact@quantitativesocionics.org) to the research team.
