Balanced and Culture-Fair IPIP-VIA-R

Determine your character strengths

Positive psychology studies what goes right in people. The Values in Action (VIA) classification of Christopher Peterson and Martin Seligman lists 24 character strengths that are valued across cultures and traditions, such as curiosity, kindness, fairness, hope, and humour.

The Balanced and Culture-Fair IPIP-VIA-R is a revised version of the IPIP scales for these strengths, designed to be used across cultures. Put simply, it shows which strengths are most characteristic of you.

On the following pages, you can determine your character strengths by responding to 96 statements. This will take about 10–15 minutes, and you can pause and resume at any time.

The results will be provided immediately after you have responded to all statements on the final page. Please note that the results you receive can only be reliable to the extent that you respond seriously and honestly.

This questionnaire is part of the validation study for the Quantitative Socionics Inventory. In case of any question, please write an e-mail (contact@quantitativesocionics.org) to the research team.
