CAT-PD-SF

Determine your maladaptive personality traits

Personality disorders have traditionally been diagnosed as categories, but research shows that they are better described as extreme levels of traits that everyone has to some degree. Current models, such as the alternative model of personality disorders in the DSM-5, describe personality pathology with a set of maladaptive traits.

The CAT-PD (Computerized Adaptive Test of Personality Disorder) measures 33 such traits, from Anxiousness and Affective Lability to Grandiosity, Manipulativeness, and Rigidity; this is its static short form. Put simply, it shows which of the traits linked to personality difficulties are more or less pronounced in you.

On the following pages, you can determine your maladaptive personality traits by responding to 216 statements. This will take about 20–30 minutes, and you can pause and resume at any time.

The results will be provided immediately after you have responded to all statements on the final page. Please note that the results you receive can only be reliable to the extent that you respond seriously and honestly.

This questionnaire is part of the validation study for the Quantitative Socionics Inventory. In case of any question, please write an e-mail (contact@quantitativesocionics.org) to the research team.

Content notice. This questionnaire asks about personality difficulties. It is intended for adults and is not a clinical assessment.
